I’m going to try an experiment.
Starting Monday, April 5th I will be posting a comic everyday until Friday, April 9th. The reason for that is because I am exactly five strips ahead of schedule. So at the end of the week, that 5-day buffer will be gone. Now, if you give a shit, you may be wondering why I would deviate from my new Monday/Wednesday schedule and post all the comics I have done ahead of time. Well herein lies the experiment.
The strip that will post on the 9th will be my 28th one. I started on September 30, 2009. It’s taken me six months to get to 28 strips. When I realized this, it really pissed me off. So, starting on Monday, April 12th and ending on Monday, May 11th I will begin “30 Strips in 30 Days.” I want to force myself to do in one month, what I couldn’t do in six.
One strip a day for 30 days.
Now, you may be thinking, “Big fuckin’ deal, hero. There are plenty of people who do that.” Well, if this is what you’re thinking and you’re not one of those people who do a daily strip – blow. For a fat, lazy bastard like me, who has the whole wife-kids-house-job “thing” going, it’s a task of gargantuan fucking proportions which will require from me nothing less than a Herculean effort. The strips may be decent – or they may be shit, but I’m going to do the best I can with each one.
There are things that I’m hoping to prove/find out, about myself and my art, by doing this. None of which I’m going to go into right now. At the moment, I’ll just focus on one update at a time, try to have fun, try not to kill anyone around me, and we’ll see where things are in 30 days.

Good luck man!!
Hey thanks, Jamie. I really appreciate it.
Hey,
Just found you because of Lar at licd.com. Your comic rocks, keep it up! i’m pretty sure you’ll get tons of new readership.
30 comics 30 days sounds pretty sweet! good luck.
Hey – really happy you like the strip. Lar wrote me back the nicest e-mail and the twitter mention has brought a ton of people to the site. Hope some of them like it enough to come back. Thanks again, Meghan.
Oh, and the “30 in 30″ has been great. Having a lot of fun, but it’ll be nice to take a breath in a few weeks.
I hope you learned what you wanted to by doing one comic a day for thirty days. It seems you have kept it up too, or very nearly have (can’t tell so much because I have read the last whole bunch of strips in one sitting but there are a lot of them so I think you kept it up). I too found you through Lar, and I have come back. I think your art is great and your writing is funny. I like your comic. I hope you can keep it going.
Thank you so much for the kind words. This has been a great experience, doing a strip a day for the last (almost) month. I did learn some things about myself and the process over the last few weeks. I have to give a lot of credit to my wife (Michelle). She’s been REALLY supportive and understanding. It’d be great if this could be my full-time gig, but with my day job (we’re both teachers) and family, I’m looking forward to a 3-day a week schedule. Thanks again.
